Last week at Walker-Grant, Instructional Technology Coach Mrs. Powell and 7th grade English teacher Ms. Schooler teamed up to have students create their own plug and play controller. Students used Makey Makey Stem Packs to create the actual controller while investigating open and closed circuits. Next, students used Scratch to code their new controller. Scratch is a free visual programming and online community where students can use coding to create stories, games, and animations. Students were truly engaged and are looking forward to learning more about coding.
