Greetings Tiger Family, 

This is your Principal Mr. Ventura with your weekly update. We have 5 days of school this week! We look forward to seeing your student(s) every day! Remember, attendance matters! But if you need to be absent, use the link on our website to inform us.

Grade Interim Reports 

Interim reports were distributed to students during their A-Day classes on Thursday, November 9th. Reports for B-Day classes will go home with students tomorrow, November 13th. Review the information and contact teachers, if needed. 

Tiger Paw Enrichment Academy 

Tiger Paw Enrichment Academy will continue next week, Monday through Thursday. Please join us for after-school tutoring. Transportation is provided! 

James Farmer Scholars 

The James Farmer Scholar program will be participating in a writing workshop on November 16th, at 1:30 p.m. Contact Ms. Clayton-Fulcher for more information. 

Superintendent Catlett Seeks Scientists Writing Contest 

Attention, 8th grade students and families! Please consider participating in Dr. Catlett’s Seeking a Scientist writing contest. Winners will receive a one-year digital and print subscription to Nat Geo Kids magazine and be entered in a drawing for an iPad. Use the link attached to the email for more information.

Reading Makes Cents Reading Program 

W-GMS is participating in the Reading Makes Cents reading program. This challenge is sponsored by Virginia529, who will be awarding 14 lucky students with over $500 to put towards their college savings.  See Mrs. Moore in the library for more information.
