Good Afternoon Tiger Family,
This is your Principal Steve Ventura with your weekly update.
We have had an excellent start to the school year! The energy from our students and staff has been refreshing as all are excited and ready for the year ahead.
First, I would like to extend my deepest thanks to all of our families for their support throughout this past week. Your assistance in preparing your children and having them ready to learn has been greatly appreciated.
All 6th and 7th graders should have received their free school supplies this past week in their Physical Education classes. If your student did not receive their supplies, please contact your student’s P.E. teacher.
Unfortunately, due to a delay in the shipping, our 8th graders' school supplies did not arrive until late last week. Please be patient while we organize and distribute supplies to our 8th grade students this week.
Please take note that Monday, August 21st, is a half day for all students. On this day, students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Kindly make the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth transition for your child.
Also, please be aware that students will not be permitted to walk to Lafayette Elementary School to meet a parent in the car rider line. Walkers and car riders are dismissed after all buses have departed.
Lastly, I would like to notify you that we will be practicing a lockdown drill this coming week. Teachers and staff will be reviewing safety procedures with students prior to our drill this week. We appreciate your continued support and willingness to speak with your student(s) about the importance of these safety drills.
Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday evening and a fantastic week ahead.
Go Tigers!
