This is your Principal Mr. Ventura with your weekly update. As we gear up for another exciting week of learning and growth at Walker-Grant Middle School, we wanted to keep you in the loop with the latest updates and important information. Here's what you need to know:

Half Day on Monday, August 21st: On Monday, August 21st, it is a half day for all students. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Please make the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth transition for your child.

After-School Tutoring Starts on Tuesday, August 22nd: After-school tutoring will begin Tuesday, August 22nd for select students. If your child received an invitation to attend, please remind them to stay after school. Transportation will be provided.

School Picture Day - Thursday, August 24th: School Picture Day will be held on Thursday, August 24th. Please be sure to bring your smiling faces. Make-up/Retake pictures will be taken on Thursday, October 12th.

Cheer Tryouts - August 30th, 31st, September 5th, 6th: Cheer tryouts will be held on August 30 and 31, September 5th and 6th. Students are to bring white tops and black bottoms to tryouts. All students must have a current VHSL sports physical and a positive attitude!

Walker-Grant Spirit Wear Fundraiser: Are you looking for some new Walker-Grant Spirit Wear to wear to work, school, or after-school events? Consider supporting our Walker-Grant Middle School student-athletes by purchasing apparel from our official W-GMS fundraiser shop. Safety Drills: We will continue practicing fire and lockdown drills at school this upcoming week. Teachers and staff will be reviewing safety procedures with students before our drills this week. We appreciate your continued support and willingness to speak with your student(s) about the importance of these safety drills.
