Good evening Lafayette Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed a restful weekend and is ready for another week of learning as we prepare for our end-of-quarter benchmark tests. Below is the schedule for benchmark testing:
October 1: 2nd, 4th, and 5th Grade — Reading
October 2: 3rd Grade — Reading (Make-up testing for 2nd, 4th, and 5th Grades)
October 8: Kindergarten - 5th Grade — Math
October 9: 4th Grade — Virginia Studies, 5th Grade — Science
October 10 & 11: Make-up sessions for all grades
Families, please remind your child of the importance of being present and focused during this time. Our students are here to learn and prepare for the future, not to disrupt the classroom environment. I encourage you to review our Lion P.R.I.D.E. expectations with them, emphasizing what respectful behavior looks like in the classroom, cafeteria, hallways, and on the bus. Lion P.R.I.D.E. Expectations
Last week, our Attendance Fairies visited classrooms to celebrate students for being present, and we look forward to continuing these celebrations throughout the year. We greatly appreciate your communication regarding any emergencies or unforeseen absences. Attendance Notes
