Good Afternoon, Tiger Family,
I hope you're enjoying the weekend! As we get ready for Thanksgiving Break, I want to share some important updates and reminders for the week ahead.
With this being our last full week of school before the holiday, it's important to stay focused, finish strong, and keep our students engaged and on track. Let's make the most of these days by maintaining routines and supporting one another as a Tiger family.
Thanksgiving Food Drive Continues
Huge thanks to the students and families who came out yesterday to support our community. Your generosity truly blew us away and reminded us how amazing our Tiger family is.
We will continue collecting non-perishable food donations all next week. Items can be dropped off in the WGMS Front Office during school hours.
Reminder: Every donation earns a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Family Movie Night Gift Basket!
Thank you for helping us care for our Walker-Grant families this Thanksgiving!
Grade Interims
Q2 Grade Interim grades will be sent home with students on Tuesday 11/18. Please review these reports with your student(s) and contact their teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

Title I
Title I is the largest federal aid program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Through Title I, the federal government designates money to school districts around the country based on the number of students in need in each district. Each district uses its Title I money for extra educational services for children, such as:
Class size reduction
Additional teachers and paraprofessionals
Parent resources
Instructional materials and supplies
Tier 2 and Tier 3 support services
The focus of the Title I program is to ensure all students meet challenging content and achievement standards. Title I also authorizes federal grant programs that provide funds for reading instruction, services to migrant children, services to neglected and delinquent children, comprehensive school reform, and dropout prevention.
All FCPS students in grades K-8 are eligible to receive programs funded through the Title I grant.
Thank You
As always, we want to thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to another wonderful week ahead.
Go Tigers!
