Third graders shared the special things about their heritage and culture that make them unique.

We are excited to celebrate our first spirt week of the year.

Fri. - PJ day

Fifth graders mapped the garden at Hugh Mercer. They also investigated different parts of the plants and pollinators

Beginning Monday, September 15, Fredericksburg City Public School’s Transportation updates will be delivered through ParentSquare to bus route-specific groups. We created this mechanism internally and have tested it to be sure it works as designed. While we do not expect any issues Monday, there may be some as this is the first official roll-out. Our goal is to efficiently communicate with you.

All bus updates will be pushed as Alerts, which means all updates will be instantaneous.

Parents/Guardians and Secondary Students should expect to see a text message from 66458.

Please contact your child’s school if any additional recipients (Guests) need to be added to your child’s ParentSquare Alerts list.

These are the patriots of the week! They were nominated by teachers for showing our patriots core values and were randomly selected as the winners for this week.

Hugh Mercer traded our Green and Gold 💚💛 for Teal and Purple 🩵💜 in an effort to raise awareness for suicide prevention. Remember you are worthy. You matter. And we care about you.

The Elementary schools joined forces for the first week of the Walking club. A positive way for our staff to get together with the added bonus of walking

Join us this Thursday for the first PTA meeting of the year. The meeting will be held in the school library starting at 6 pm.

Mrs. Taylor's class was given the task of using string and yarn to move plastic cups to build a tower. Students had to use teamwork and communication to figure out how they were going to build the tower.

The gifted program at HM is off to a great start. Third grade gifted started their program with a Lego challenge. Fourth and fifth graders created a crazy hair lamp.

💚💛Welcome back to school! At Hugh Mercer, students are greeted with smiles. First day jitters melted away in Ms. Bland's class with Jitter juice. Paper hearts and collaboration exercises in 3rd grade built teamwork. We look forward to more fun days at HM. 💛💚

Happy Transition Day. We rolled out the red carpet for our Kindergarten students.
