Thank you, Veterans. In honor of Veterans Day, HMES held a breakfast for our military families and a parade.

Wed. Wear Green and Gold
Thurs. Wear Blue and Gold for the Navy or Red, White, and Blue
Fri, Wear Red for deployed military

Tomorrow is Spirit night at Urban Air.
Also, please join the Snack Squad and help make sure our patriots are fueled for the school day.
On Monday, our patriots participated in the Pumpkin Run. Congratulations to the winners! Great job everyone!

On Wednesday, HMES celebrated Unity day by wearing orange and creating a kindness chain.
Did you know that FCPS is a Purple Star accredited district for our commitment to supporting military students and families. These are the Purple School Representatives for HMES, Mrs. Izquierdo, Mrs. Lewis, and Ms. Mitchell.
Ms. Blands class learned about Dia de Los Muertos and made papel picado.

October is Bullying Prevention Month.
Earlier this month, we dressed in blue to bring awareness to bullying. Ms. Abraham and Dr. Russ have also been reading books to classes that highlight the importance of being kind.
