Feeling all the feels today? You are not alone! It’s common to experience multiple emotions at once. We often try to simplify our emotions into just one feeling, but emotions are complex and can be contradictory. Take a deep breath and acknowledge all the emotions you are feeling right now. Are you feeling: ‣Anxious and happy? ‣Confused and grateful? ‣Angry and silly? Allow yourself to feel all the emotions, even if they seem to be total opposites. You can feel multiple things at once and that’s okay! Not sure what emotions you are feeling but want to talk to someone about it? At home, you can talk to a trusted adult, friend, or sibling. At school, you can talk to your teacher, school counselor, or principal. Share with us in the comments below what emotions you are feeling today. Let’s normalize the complexity of feeling many emotions together!

Shoutout to Fredericksburg Regal Cinema for supplying our art students with some snacks while they prepare for their Tim Burton style self-portraits. Students in Mrs. Carter's art classes enjoyed some authentic movie theater popcorn while they prepped their portraits. Thanks, Regal!!

6th grade Language Arts students had their first book club for their class novel "The One and Only Ivan" today! Students in Ms. Rahn's class discussed three different questions based on inferences and conclusions they drew from the novel. After discussing with their book club group, students chose the question they were most confident in to respond to on their own! They used textual evidence, interactive notebooks, and the novel to support their learning today. Oh, and no book club would be complete without cookies. Go, Tigers!!! 🐯🧡
