Mrs. Jones makes osmosis awesome!!! 7th grade science students demonstrated the concept of osmosis by using potatoes and real salmon eggs in saltwater and fresh water. They measured and observed how their items changed after sitting in different solutions. According to the students, the coolest part was feeling the difference in the salmon eggs. Science Rocks, and so does Mrs. Jones!🐯🧡

Local Schools Tighten Security After Online Threats
Both Schools Systems Have Deemed The Threats Non-Credible
👉https://myhyperbole.com/news/local-schools-tighten-security-after-online-threats/

Good afternoon,
As always, thank you for your continued support, cooperation, and collaboration as we work together for the health, safety, and instructional needs of our Fredericksburg City Public Schools community.
As promised, we want to follow up on last night's message in order to keep you informed.
As you know, there are local, state, and national rumors for a Friday, September 13 event. Today, we have received no additional information, no evidence, and no proof of any violence to our schools. Out of an abundance of caution, increased police presence will continue.
We thank families who have advised their students against spreading rumors, particularly those that could cause undue fear in our community.
If you have credible information concerning a threat to our schools, contact a school administrator or school employee. As with any emergency, please contact 911 if your information gives rise to that level.
We want to reiterate that safety and security are our top priorities and always will be.
Thank you.

The Family Community Picnic originally scheduled for Thursday, September 26 has been cancelled.

In recognition of Suicide Prevention month, Fredericksburg City Public Schools will be sharing wellness resources to support our learning community. We want to this opportunity to highlight the significance of suicide and the importance of reducing the stigma of reaching out for help, knowing how to talk to others about suicidal thoughts, and understanding what resources are available for those in need.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, call/text 988 or visit 988lifeline.org for free and confidential help.
